Founder: Gracie Stobaugh

Gracie Stobaugh has always had a passion for helping people see things differently. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in graphic design, she began her professional career at a Central Texas advertising agency. Specializing in print media, Gracie designed projects for a range of clients and budgets, including Motorola and The University of Texas Alumni Association. Her approach as a graphic designer is to balance thought-provoking concepts with effective communication.

Gracie eventually decided to earn a Master’s degree in special education and began using her knowledge of design and unique way of thinking to impact teaching and learning. In her new career, Gracie was quickly recognized for her ability to think creatively and communicate a clear vision of educational possibilities. This led to a promotion to chair the special education department. In this capacity she was instrumental in creating many innovative programs, developing effective professional development programs, mentoring novice campus teachers, and designing presentations for local, state, and national audiences.

Realizing the limitations of being able to impact education from within the system, Gracie made the hard decision to leave teaching and started her own company, Creative Fire LLC. Through her company’s work, Gracie has the opportunity to blend her two passions, design and education, to more effectively support quality communication and change in education and other professional organizations.
